Description: MuslimFest returned to Mississauga Celebration Square for its 12 year at the end of August. It attracted more than 25,000 visitors! The event showcased entertainment that is hundreds of years old in addition to a lineup of new performers ready to become household names. It's the first Muslim artistic festival of its kind in North America, and has been listed among the top 100 festivals in Ontario by FEO for several years. Organized by a group of dedicated young volunteers, this event aims to build bridges of understanding between all Canadians of diverse ethnic and religious origins by celebrating cultural diversity in the Muslim community through art, comedy, food, exhibits and meaningful entertainment.
